My name is Henny Borra, born in The Netherlands (Utrecht) in 1946 and living in Helmond.

During my working life in various management positions for international companies, I have a focused on various art forms in many countries. After completing my management duties in 2002, I chose to become proficient in the creation of mosaic panels.

I have developed my own visual style. My style is colorful, intense, expressive and imaginative. My strong sense of color gives me the opportunity to give a special impression and expression, partly on the basis of the black joints. Color and line play are therefore the most important components in making mosaics. You could say that this gives a picture of a unique fantasy world with futuristic ideas. Basically leaning towards today’s modern Neo Pop Art and modern Cubism. My work also shows a clear relationship with the bright colors and expression of the art style realized by Cobra. The artists who inspire me are many and very diverse, including Picasso, Thomas Fedro, Romero Britto and, last but not least, Gaudi.

The basic technique that I use is the so-called direct method. The finished mosaic panels are moisture and weather resistant and can be placed both indoors and outdoors (gardens, etc.).

Ik work under the name Borra Mosaic Art and have a studio in Helmond as well as in Rojales (Spain).
